Hello

I started life with just one ambition... I never wanted to work in an office!  I wanted to be an artist.

Life however had different plans for me and by chance I found I had an interest in coding, I loved the problem solving element and when I got into Software Engineering, designing solutions allowed me to utilise my creative side.

​

25+ years later having spent most of my engineering career working as a consultant developing and supporting  solutions for the public sector and the last couple of years in the private sector working for a Digital Marketing Company I found myself looking for my next venture.

DigiDonk came about from my experience working as a voluntary Digital Support Worker at my local library. I’ve always enjoyed helping people through mentoring and coaching, so I decided to give it a go, and it really opened my eyes.

​

I began to see just how much of our daily lives now depends on being online, and how challenging that can be for many people. It made me realise that while I chose a career working with technology, many others wouldn’t choose to if they had the option. Because of that, so many businesses, non-profit organisations and individuals are potentially being held back simply because they don’t have the time or desire to learn a trade they never asked for.

DigiDonk is a play on the words 'Digital Donkey', and the concept is simple we aim to lighten the digital load through advising, supporting and doing digital work that allows people to reap the benefits available to them whilst freeing up time to focus on the things they chose to do.
