As I officially launch DigiDonk today, I'd like to say hello and introduce myself and tell you a bit about DigiDonk, what it does and how it came about.
About Me:
The key things you need to know about me are that I'm a creative problem solver and I'm driven by helping others. I have worked in technology; analysing, designing, developing and supporting software and data solutions for over 20 years. Throughout that time I have sought out the most cost effective solutions for my clients as well as driving out improvements to how those solutions were built. I believe technology should be there to simplify and help lives.
About DigiDonk:
Over two years ago I started providing digital support as a volunteer at my local library and began to see first-hand how digital solutions whilst intending to be helpful could be confusing and scary to people without a little support.
When I found myself looking for my next role and not finding the right opportunities I decided I'd like to do more in the digital support space and began talking to small businesses and organisations and realised that they could benefit from a helping hand too.
DigiDonk is a play on the words "Digital Donkey" and was born from the idea of offering to take on people's Digital Donkey work. I effectively offer to use my time, experience and knowledge to provide advice, support and take on activities to improve systems (for businesses and organisations) and maximise on the benefits of tool use for all - ADVISE, SUPPORT, DO!
